Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of composting oyster mushroom waste media with different doses on the growth and yield of mustard plants and to determine the optimum dose. The research was carried out for 2 months from May to June 2022 on Merjosari agricultural land, Lowokwaru District, Malang Regency, East Java Province. This study used a simple randomized block design. The treatment doses are as follows: Control, D1= 5 ton.ha-1 , D2=10 ton.ha-1 , D3= 15 ton.ha-1 and D4= 20 ton.ha-1. There were 5 treatments then repeated 3 times and each treatment had 2 samples. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, total wet weight, economic wet weight, total dry weight and economic dry weight. Data analysis used 5% ANOVA if it was real, a 5% BNT follow-up test was carried out to compare between treatments, the optimum dose was carried out with a regression test. In mushroom waste compost treatment D3 = 15 ton.ha-1 produced the best results for the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, total wet weight, economic wet weight, total dry weight and economic dry weight. In the regression test, the optimum dose was obtained at 12.09 tons ha-1.
