Efisiensi Pupuk NPK Akibat Pemberian MOL Kohe Kambing dengan Frekuensi Berbeda Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Melon (Cucumis melo L.)
Abstract
Melon (Cucumis melo L.) is one of the horticultural commodities that is widely used as a source of vitamins in food menu patterns and is consumed by all levels of Indonesian society. Melon production decreases every year due to declining soil quality and increasingly expensive inorganic fertilizers. This study aims to determine the response of growth and production of melons to the application of NPK fertilizer and liquid organic (POC) MOL kohe goat. In this study, the design used was a factorial randomized block design (RBD) consisting of two factors, namely the frequency of MOL kohe goats (F) and the dose of NPK fertilizer (D). The first factor is the frequency of MOL kohe goats (F) consisting of 4 treatments, namely F1 (1 time application at the beginning of planting 40 tons/ha), F2 (2 times application 20 tons/ha), F3 (3 times application 13.3 tons/ha ), and F4 (4 times the application of 10 tonnes/ha). The second factor, NPK fertilizer doses consisted of 3 treatments, namely D1 (0.5 recommended dose of 150kg/ha), D2 (1 recommended dose of 300 kg/ha), D3 (1.5 recommended dose of 450kg/ha). From these two factors, there were 12 treatment combinations, each treatment was repeated 3 times to obtain 36 experimental units. The results showed that the treatment with NPK and MOL kohe goats had no significant effect on the parameters of plant length, number of leaves, leaf area, plant fresh weight, total dry weight, and sugar content.
